Overview

The hot-wire method thermal conductivity meter (transient method) is measured using the line source testing method of a thermal probe. This thermal probe has a very large aspect ratio to achieve the simulation conditions of an infinitely long and infinitely thin heat source. Easy to use, plug-and-play probe sensor quick interface method and simple software interface operation enable users to quickly master and operate accurately. From starting to prepare for the test to getting the results, it usually only takes 1 to 2 minutes. It has the advantages of wide application range, fast measurement speed, and accurate measurement results. It is compact, easy to carry, and more cost-effective to meet the needs of production, quality inspection, and research and development in related industries.

Instrument meets standards

  • ASTM D5334-2008 "Standard Test Method for Determination of Thermal Conductivity of Soil and Soft Rock by Hot Needle Probe Method";
  • "Determination of thermal conductivity of non-metallic solid materials - hot wire method";
  • "Determination of Thermal Conductivity of Rubber - Hot Wire Method";
  • ASTM C1113-2009 "Test Method for Determining Thermal Conductivity of Refractory Material Products Using Hot Wire"; ASTM D5930-2009 "Standard Test Method for Measuring Thermal Conductivity of Plastics Using Instantaneous Linear Source Technology".
